The Gaiole Wine Contest returns on Monday, July 12
The Gaiole Wine Contest is back, scheduled for Monday, July 12 and organized by Capannelle in Piazza Ricasoli, in the center of the village of Gaiole in Chianti, from 6.30 pm as the first appointment of a two-day event, the Caveau 48.
As part of our annual Gathering of the Caveau Club, this year at its 15th edition and reserved for restaurants and wine shops owners who keep their fine wines inside our innovative cellar space, the Gaiole Wine Contest will be a way to launch a positive signal to restart, addressing the public of wine lovers who will have the chance to spend a stimulating afternoon and, finally, live. It will be a jury of specialized journalists and bloggers, formed by Asa Johansson, Sara Cintelli, Andrea Gori, Simone Lo Guercio, Davide D’Alterio e Thomas Taddeo, to name the winner, who will receive a few surprises arranged by the staff of the company.
The event involves the blind tasting of five wines of various origins and the compilation of a tasting sheet: the cost of registration for the Wine Contest is 30 euros. The tasting service, set up in Piazza Ricasoli with special seats and reserved tables, will be managed by AIS sommelier and will provide for a maximum number of participants.

The Caveau 48 event will continue on Tuesday July 13 with the Gala Dinner, which this year will carry the signature by chef Isabella Morrone, who will create a menu dedicated to Sweden, the host country of this event’s edition. As a tradition, the country that will be the protagonist of the 2022 edition of the Caveau will be drawn by lot during the dinner.
